The Catalyst Core's double cavity design helps preserve the ball's intended motion no matter how it is drilled. A large central cavity allows pin-up, pin-down, or stacked layouts to all sit within the same engineered space, keeping the most dense part of the weight block unaffected by the thumb hole. This helps maintain the core's intended RG values after drilling. The result is a more consistent, predictable shape and reaction from layout to layout, regardless of how the ball is configured.
