Starting from the inside, the Shape-Lock HD Core can power through just about anything. HD is short for “high density”, which lowers the RG and raises the differential of the weight block. A higher differential translates to more flare potential, so every time the ball makes a rotation when traveling down the lane it exposes a fresh portion of coverstock material to the oil.

R3S Pearl Coverstock
Type
Pearl Reactive

R3S is the third generation of Storm’s flagship coverstock: Reactor cover material. This shell has a measurable porosity that is higher than its predecessor. This increased porosity reads the lane slightly sooner than Reactor or R2S and smooths out the overall reaction. Blending out lane transition is one of R3S’s best features.
