Storm Ion Pro Solid
Create Custom Ball Comparison
Release Date

Building off the breakthrough success of the original Ion Pro, the Ion Pro Solid strengthens the Premier line with its continuous asymmetric benchmark shape. Bowlers who loved the hybrid but were looking for more pronounced backend motion will discover exactly what they need with the Ion Pro Solid.

Featuring the trusted single density Element Tour A.I. Core, this ball delivers predictability on challenging patterns while providing smooth transitions to handle wet/dry league conditions with ease. Wrapped in the proven TX-16™ Solid cover and enhanced with Power Edge technology, it clears the fronts effortlessly due to the Power Edge Finish, preserving energy for a stronger backend motion.

This asymmetric benchmark excels across various conditions, especially when lane patterns become challenging. Paired with the Ion Pro and Ion Max, the Ion Series creates a complete arsenal with true shape progression to keep you ahead of transition.

TX-16 (Traction-X 2016) is what emerges from countless hours in R&D to develop the finest coverstocks on the planet. This solid reactive blend leaves an incredible footprint on the lane. The additive in the TX-16 breed of coverstock responds impeccably well to surface adjustments too. Dull or shiny, the chemical configuration of TX-16 allows it to be highly customizable for any player on any condition.

It’s difficult to find another coverstock as reliable and flexible as TX-16. First established by the Phaze™ II, TX-16 has been inspiring confidence in bowlers around the world for years.

Element Tour A.I. Core
Storm Element Tour A.I. Core

The stacked ellipse design of the Element Core places the smaller ellipses towards the ends of the X-Axis and the widest ellipse at the center of the Y-Axis. Conceptually opposite to cavity designs featured in the Crux™ and Absolute™, the Element Core dynamics will change more between different layouts with this shape because of it. This center heavy concept places the largest ellipse in the geographic center of the ball. More mass towards the center lowers the RG and, in conjunction with the A.I. Core, makes the Element weight block one of the lowest RG asymmetrical designs Storm has ever had. Normally on asymmetric weight blocks, the thinnest portion creating the asymmetry is very close to the Y-Axis. Stairstep asymmetry is the opposite of that. The widest part is at the Y-Axis which would normally decrease asymmetry, but each subsequent ellipse is offset and skinnier than the previous one which creates asymmetry with each stairstep.
