Our Goal was to develop a Hybrid version of the Dimension™ with enhanced traction in the mid-lane & enhanced entry angle to the pocket. We knew the perfect complement to the previous Dimension™ series balls would be to wrap the Continuum™ core in a hybrid version of the R3S™ coverstock.
This unique blend of R2S™ & R2X™ coverstock would give us added mid-lane & increased entry angle to the pocket on the medium volume patterns. The Continuum™ core is famous for its predictability & continuous motion throughout the lane.
The unique asymmetrical halves rotated at 90 degrees to create symmetry gives us the mid-lane read of an asymmetrical with the continuation on the backend like a symmetrical.
The final product is a synergy of coverstock & core to create the ultimate addition to the Dimension line.
R3S Hybrid Coverstock
R3S is the third generation of Storm’s flagship coverstock: Reactor cover material. This shell has a measurable porosity that is higher than its predecessor. This increased porosity reads the lane slightly sooner than Reactor or R2S and smooths out the overall reaction. Blending out lane transition is one of R3S’s best features.
